CHÂTEAU DE COMBOURG  

Immortalisé par le "père" du Romantisme qui y passa une partie de sa jeunesse, François-René de Chateaubriand, cette forteresse médiévale, édifiée du 12ème au 15ème siècle, parfaitement conservée et meublée, appartient encore au descendants de l'auteur qui en a fait sa demeure.
Ouvert au public entre avril et octobre. 
Visites  groupes   de mars à novembre (sur réservation)

LA GARE DE MEDREAC

Vélo rail

Voyagez à travers les âges depuis la gare de Médréac. Choisissez votre activité et découvrez  les deux
parcours de notre ligne de chemin de fer en vélo-rail. Un autorail des années 1930 (draisine) pour le public non pédaleur circule uniquement sur le petit parcours (6km). Une scénographie férroviaire ludique et interactive vous attend à l'intérieur de la gare. Remontez le temps jusqu'a la préhistoire en rejoignant le site des mégalithes de Lampouy avec le petit train routier.
Réservation fortement conseillée.

MUSÉE DE LA PAYSANNERIE

Plongez au coeur de nos campagnes de 1850 à 1950 à travers 2000 m² d'exposition et prés d'1h30 de visite. Matériel agricole, intérieur maison paysan, ateliers d'artisans, potager, animaux de la ferme.

Ouvert tlj 10h à 19h du 15 juin au 15 septembre; groupes sur réservation du 1er avril au 31 octobre.

Au coeur de la Baie du Mont Saint-Michel, explorez le Moulin de la Saline, datant de 1827 et parcourez l'exposition interactive afin d'éveiller vos sens à la découverte des produits locaux. Point information touristique et boutique en accés libre.

Immortalized by François René de Chateaubriand in his Memoirs, the castle of Combourg  demonstrates an interesting part of the writer’s childhood and the importance of the mediaeval fortress in Brittany (XII-XV century). Furnished, it now belongs to descendants of the writer

Travelling through ages from the Médréac station.

Choose your activity and discover both trips of our rail-way lines in bike-rail, and also, railcar of the 1930s for people who can not pedal, circulates only on the small trip (6km.). A playful and interactive railroad scenography waiting for you inside the station. Go back up the time until the prehistory by joining the site of the megaliths of Lampouy with the small road train. The reservation is strongly recommended.

Go into the heart of our countryside since 1820 to 1950 through 2000 sq,m of exhibition in a visit of about 90min. Agricultural tools, the inside of peasant house, craftsmens’ workshops, vegetable garden, farm animals.

Dedicated to the very important Breton cycle champion: Louison BOBET (Tee shirts, bikes, video, etc.), Two rooms to be visited + video.

More than 4000 objects (a packet of cigarettes, the engine of a plane…), more than 30 Models in uniform. Reconstruction of a “blockaus” (A German construction unique to the Normandy, to be used for defence).

On a space of 2400 sq,m, open to visitors, in an alive and interactive museography, you follow the way of man through the evolution of information technologies, civil and military communication, starting from the first smoke signals to communication by satellite.

In the heart of the Mont-Saint-Michel bay, explore le Moulin de la Saline (Salt Mill), dating from 1827, you will go through the interactive exhibition in order to awake your senses in the discovery of the local products. Tourist information and shop are in free access.
